I'm hooked! What happens next? Great work Peter, and the picture fits the atmosphere perfectly. Is this a picture you took and if so, where is this place?
Thank you! I'm so glad you asked about the photo. I took it on a foggy morning in the stormy mountains of southwest Tasmania -- a location that serves as the subject of a Spensarian sonnet which I'll hopefully have ready to share soon. It is one the most wonderful and wild places I've ever hiked, and has some of the meanest-looking stony outcrops! And yes, there may be more to say about this boy and the organ, as this poem was loosely inspired by a setting in the secondary world of my fantasy stories ...
Indeed Katie! This poem is loosely based on a setting in the secondary world where most of my fantasy stories take place; so there is, perhaps, more to say about this boy and the organ underground ...
Haunting. I love it!
Cheers Derek! Glad you enjoyed it.

Ohh like this one. The music calling forth the spirit of the cave. What happens next?

Love the vibe of the poem here, and the chosen metre works so well. Nicely done!
Thanks James! Glad you enjoyed it; I had a lot of fun with the rhythm on this one.
"It lingers in the mellifluous lustre"
...nice. 😊👌
Cheers!
